TIMES HONGKONG, BANJAR – The Citanduy Culinary Night (CCN), organized by the Dinas KUKMP Kota Banjar, is set to become a regular culinary event held every Saturday night. Featuring a lively atmosphere with live music performances, it promises to be a perfect weekend destination for families and friends.

According to Sri Sobariah, the Head of Dinas KUKMP Kota Banjar, Citanduy cullinary Market not only serves as a platform for local MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) to sell their products but also provides a space for musicians and performers to showcase their talents.

"CCN at Taman Pusdai will accommodate MSMEs every weekend, where visitors can enjoy culinary delights along with live music," Sri explained during the CCN launch, which was inaugurated by the acting Mayor of Banjar, Ida Wahida Hidayati, on Saturday, October 5, 2024.

Sri further encouraged music enthusiasts and community groups to take part in the event. "We offer a stage for them to express their musical passions, which in turn helps boost the sales of MSMEs participating in CCN," she added.

Acting Mayor Ida Wahida Hidayati expressed her appreciation for the initiative, which was developed by Dinas KUKMP in collaboration with Banjar Patroman's MSME community. "This event offers a new space for Banjar residents to enjoy culinary experiences over the weekend," she said.

Ida Wahida also revealed that the Citanduy Culinary Market program is just the beginning of a larger project called the Citanduy Water Hub, where a dedicated area for street vendors is being planned.

"Hopefully, we can allocate a budget next year for proper vendor arrangements, making it more like international food hubs," she added optimistically.

The acting mayor hopes that CCN will contribute to economic growth in Banjar and improve consumer spending. "I encourage families to spend their Saturday nights here, supporting local MSMEs in a comfortable environment with plenty of parking space," she urged.

Following the launch, Sari, a local resident of Banjar, expressed her hopes for improved facilities in the Citanduy Culinary Market area. "It would be great if the lighting in Taman Pusdai could be brightened to create a better atmosphere," she commented. Sari also suggested that future CCN events offer Wi-Fi access and a safe children's play area, especially since the location is near the Citanduy River.

Citanduy Culinary Market is expected to bring a refreshing experience for both food lovers and music enthusiasts while strengthening the local economy and enhancing community engagement in Banjar. (*)
