Croffle has been going viral among the South Korean street foods in the middle of 2020. Currently, this savoury, sweet and crunchy pastry has become the favorite snack of Indonesian people.
Croffle is made of croissant dough and cooked on a waffle pan. The ingredients are also the same with the basic ingredients to make croissants, such as flour, salt, cold water, butter, sugar, yeast and milk.
The croissant dough should be refrigerated as it has a high temperature sensitivity, so as to prevent the yeast for growing too fast and prevent the butter from melting.
Croffle is the combination of croissant and waffle. Croissant is usually crescent moon-shaped, while waffle get its shape from the waffle pan.
