TIMES HONGKONG, JAKARTA – A healthy and balanced diet is one of the keys to stay healthy especially during this pandemic. Though there still haven’t been any studies done to determine the best dietary habits to protect against Covid-19, there are certain foods that promote a healthy and resistant immune system and vice versa.

The following dietary recommendations won’t be able to cure you from COVID-19, but avoiding these food at least will help to keep your immune stronger.  Check these foods that is better to avoid.

1. Fritters or those fried foods

Those fried foods consist lots of saturated fat. If you have it more than your daily intake, it will become a boomerang for you. It could decrease your immune.

2. Too much red meats

Read meats contain saturated fats, which are another element that can increase inflammation, given that saturated fats cause inflammation of the fatty tissues. Therefore, consumption of saturated fats shouldn’t exceed 10% of our daily caloric intake.

3. Sweetener

Too much drinking some juice or coke which consist of sweetener like sugar or saccharine and other sweeteners could harm your body. Those sweeteners will make your body get easily gets inflamed.

4. Spicy food

Spicy food could give you some sorethoath which cause you some cough. If you feel like having runny nose, try to have some herbal drink or ginger ale or chicken soup that will ease your cold.

Those foods above better be avoided when you encountering Covid-19.  Beside those foods, some vitamin such C, D, E, and Zinc are such a beneficial vitamin for your body to boost your immune. (*)
