TIMES HONGKONG, TAPANULI SELATAN – As the local topography at Siuhom, West Angkola, South Tapanuli still surrounded by lush green forest, there are lots of exotic trees and fruit could be found around the area. Such as wax apple.

The local community plants wax apple on their yard. Almost every house in the area has this kind of tree. The local wax apple known to have such a nice taste and juicy. It's sweets and has typical fresh fragrant. 

For this reason, TMMD task force willing to graft the tree and cultivate it. They were taught by the locals on how to graft the wax apple tree in proper way.

"We went to the local house to learn grafting technique. We also tell them that we will leave this place tomorrow," Srg. Tajun Siregar, said on Tuesday (13/7/2021). 

During the community service program, TMMD South Tapanuli has learned so much from the local. They helps the local with their facilities and lot more. And the most important thing is that they managed to blend with the local community and captivate their hearts.
